ATCOM IN THE KEYNOTE SPEAKERS' AGENDA OF THE E-COMMERCE CONFERENCE 2021
CCO Jason Kataropoulos talked about the potential of AI applications in e-Commerce.
E-Commerce Conference 2021, the leading event about e-commerce and e-business, was successfully completed on April 14th and 15th 2021, supported with a Gold Sponsorship by ATCOM. Mr. Jason Kataropoulos, ATCOM’s Chief Commercial Officer, joined the speakers’ agenda with a presentation entitled “Real life, real results: applied AI for conversion optimisation”.
In his speech, Mr. Kataropoulos presented the opportunities arising from Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in e-Commerce, pinpointing tangible applications through real scenarios, which are feasible today.
Referring, firstly, to applications on the personalisation and product recommendation level, he then focused on the use of AI to ensure the efficiency and profitability of the e-shop. Within this context, he indicated mechanisms that enable the detection of anomalies throughout the e-store’s operations (anomaly detection), as well as the optimisation of its pricing strategy (price optimisation). Finally, he concluded his address by highlighting ways in which retailers could integrate such technologies in their overall mindset, to reap the significant emerging benefits.
