Nea Kriti, the leading newspaper of the island of Crete, recognising the evolving needs of modern customers, found in ATCOM the strategic partner to plot and implement the journey to its digital transformation. Neakriti.gr is the upgraded digital home of the popular Cretan newspaper, aiming to satisfy the needs of its readers and to extend their experience across multiple digital channels and portable devices.
Fully aligned with the company’s business objectives and customer-first philosophy, the new neakriti.gr is a modern and efficient news portal, providing access to articles, blog posts, reportages, current affairs and local, as well as national and international news. Pursuing prime performance, it is based on a carefully planned information architecture and optimised content.
Responsive and on-the-fly adaptable to any device and resolution, neakriti.gr is built on Netvolution 5.5, the latest edition of ATCOM’s awarded web CMS platform and incorporates innovative features, such as the Page Editor functionality which enables the componetisation of pages, allowing for a fast, smooth and easy page editing, while minimising effort and maximising variation.
A plain design with a light and bright look and feel that inspires trustworthiness, subtlety and reliability, was the approach of ATCOM’s Creative Team. The backgrounds are light-toned and place the focus on the imagery, with the purpose of surrounding and emphasising the website’s premium content.
Within this context and considering user experience as a top priority, ATCOM incorporated personalisation features, such as user registration and search by keyword or by calendar, while also providing two ways of user interaction; facebook bots, allowing communication through facebook messenger, and browsers notifications.
