Kafea Terra, exclusive distributor of Illy products in Greece and pioneer in the coffee industry, partnered with ATCOM to upgrade the e-commerce channel for its Illy brand. The new site establishes the official digital identity of Illy, strengthens the brand and expands its clientele, promoting the Illy philosophy while opening up a new gateway to exceptional customer experiences.
Our strategy to redesign the new illy.gr aimed at creating a modern interface that, implemented on the latest ATCOM technologies, engages users and invites them to join one of Illy’s subscription models and enjoy exclusive benefits; thus contributing to a relationship based on “lifetime value”. The Design Concept adopted was in alignment with the brand’s international identity and guidelines, adjusted to the Greek local market and within a UX strategy that addresses every customer interaction and optimises user experience throughout the site.
Built on the infrastructure of the 6th version of Netvolution, ATCOM’s award-winning CMS platform, the updated site features advanced e-commerce functionalities, along with a sophisticated subscription mechanism to facilitate recurring payments for monthly deliveries of coffee products, as well as instalments for coffee machine purchases. Users need only activate their 12-month subscription and set their preferences about the coffee machine they own, the type of coffee, pack and plan size, to then receive their monthly supply without any further action - and with the option to cancel, renew or pause the subscription for 3 months at any time. The Subscriptions functionality generates automated orders that create automated payments.
Apart from the e-commerce and subscription functionalities, this is a website rich in content, so we created a distinct section to display content and services regarding the brand and the products, addressed to baristas and coffee aficionados; inspirational content spanning from news, stories and company updates to interesting facts about coffee and coffee production and seminars.
