Olympic Air, member of AEGEAN Group and Greece’s second largest airline, needed to upgrade its online presence and transform the experience offered to its digital customers. ATCOM implemented the redesigned Olympic Air e-commerce website and unveiled the way to a new era for the airline’s digital services.
The challenge was to deeply comprehend the business logic and technical complexity of Olympic Air’s digital systems, and set the roadmap to successfully translate the logic into a fast and reliable digital space that addresses the needs of Olympic Air’s customers. Our strategy largely focused on achieving optimal connectivity with the site’s multiple 3rd parties and their respective partners, separately as well as collectively, and getting the website to function as the regulator of the systems’ intercommunication, on top of ensuring a seamless user experience.
The upgraded olympicair.com, taking full advantage of Sitecore Experience Platform’s advanced features, enables users to create their personal “MyOlympic” account and registered members, either basic or M+B customers, to access and manage their profile, bookings and overall activity. Further new additions, which increase equally customer satisfaction and business value, include the Low Fare Calendar Module, through which users can have a quick view of low fares to destinations related to their place of origin, right from the homepage. Additionally, users can get travel inspiration based on their preferences, through intuitive journeys either on the site’s homepage or through the Inspiration Shopping Module, where an interactive route map displays the destinations matching the criteria set by the individual user.
