Giovanti Travel agency decided it was time to embark on a Business Transformation journey and upgrade its services and overall offering. ATCOM was the Strategy and Technology partner to design and implement Travel Ferry, the brand’s digital portal for online ferry bookings, as a vital component of its refreshed business strategy and a useful tool for every Giovanti Travel customer.
To plan our strategy for the new Travel Ferry site, we considered the emerging needs and expectations of modern travellers, assessing the latest best practices in travel e-commerce and keeping in alignment with the brand’s business objectives. Our goal was to create a modern and user-friendly booking engine for every traveller, while opening up a new channel of communication, customer interaction and revenue stream for the brand, as it enters the digital era.
Focusing on the site’s usability, our Experience Design experts combined a minimal, responsive design approach with a straightforward architecture of content that enables clear user journeys and assists the decision-making process of users, from search to purchase. In this context, navigation is simple and instinctive, while the search mask is always present on the user’s viewport across all inner pages and beyond the homepage.
On the Technology front, we implemented Travel Ferry on Netvolution 5.7, our award-winning CMS Platform that supports sophisticated integrations with ticket booking and payment gateway third parties, while ensuring the site’s optimal performance, stability and scalability.
